The nautical market stands: the drop until November is just over 1 point

The market for recreational craft in Spain confirms the stabilization of demand for the year. Between January and November 2025, 4,829 vessels were registered, which is -1.3% of the data recorded in the same period of the previous year, as is apparent from the Report of the Market for Recreation Embarkments (energy-November 2025) produced by ANEN on the basis of the data provided by the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy. It highlights the good performance of November, with significant growth in enrolment (212 records), 39.5% more than in 2024 and 7.6% more than 2023.
By way of length: it continues to lead the ships up to 6 meters... the market continues to be dominated by the ships up to 6 meters long, which concentrate 70% of the total enrolment and maintain stability in the same
2024 period (-1.1%). The 6-8 m segment, which has 877 units and has a slight increase of 0.2% in enrolment, is located behind it.
The ships between 8 and 12 meters have 387 enrolments (-3.7%), while those between 12 and 16 meters, with 136 records, fall by -6.8%. The boats of more than 16 meters, with 47 registered units, have a fall of -7.8%.
By type of boat: the folding tyres continue to grow... the analysis by type of boat shows a remarkable positive evolution in the folding tyres, which grow by 48.4% per year to reach 632 enrolments, becoming the segment with the best performance in the year.
Motor ships continue to lead the market with 2,005 records (41.5% of the market), despite a slight decline of -2,8%. They are followed by the water bikes, with 1,373 units (-11.2%), and the semi-rigid pneumatic ones, which amount to 557 enrolments (-4%). The candle has a decrease of -9.6% and has 161 units.
The rental market is still in decline and is still in the adjustment phase and is accumulating 1,395 registrations between January and November 2025, which is an annual decrease of -19.9% over the same period last year. The fall affects virtually all segments, with a special impact on vessels of more than 16 meters, which fall by -34.5%, as well as on the length of up to 6 meters (-23.5%). Despite this adjustment, the charter maintains a relevant weight within the sector as a whole, representing 28.9% of the total number of enrolments made in Spain in the course of the year.
