The British Jonny Rogers (Royal Lymington YC) has declared himself the absolute winner of the 36 Palamós International Optimist Trophy, a race that has had 360 participants from 23 countries. Rogers was accompanied on the podium by the Brazilian Manuel Bragança (ICRJ), second and the American Briggs Kossman (OptiWay), third. The best Spanish was the Basque Nicolás Bastard (RCM Abra-RS Club), in fifth position. The female champion was the Ukrainian Anhieshka Madonna (OptiWay / YC Imperia).

The 20 Nations Cup, Copes Generalitat, was for Spain. The winners were Nicolás Bastard Luca Nueschen and Stiijn Oosterhaven (CN S'Arenal) and Lucas Garrido (CN Arenys de Mar). In the Sub13 category the winner was Jonny Rogers and in Sub12 the Italian Andrea Bonvicini (Centro Vela Dervio)

Palamós recovered its essence and the wind of Tramuntana that started on the 8-10 knots and reached 23 knots points, allowed for the opening of the 36 Palamós International Optimist Trophy, with the holding of three necessary tests after two days in white required, the first by the red alert and the second by the lack of wind. The day was long, for the second day in a row the participants had to get up early. The Organization was clear that it should try everything, and if on Friday day the exit to the sea was advanced an hour, on Saturday it was two, so at 8: 00 in the morning the fleet of 360 ships left for the race field as the departure was scheduled for 9: 00 in the morning to try to take advantage of the earth wind.

With the celebration of the three sleeves played today, the championship is saved and although this Sunday will be followed with the group fleet format, the moment a fourth test is held, a discard will also come into play. The time limit for the last departure will be 16 hours.
