The Nàutic Club El Balís held last night a new edition of the Nit de l'Esport, the annual event with which the entity recognizes the sports successes of its most outstanding regatists and athletes of the season. The gala brought together about 150 attendees among athletes, families, partners and institutional representatives, consolidating itself as one of the most important quotes of the club's social and sports calendar.
The great figure of the night was the Olympic regatist Florian Trittel, one of the main references of the world candle. The regatist of the Balís, world champion of the Olympic class 49er, was one of the most prominent athletes of the gala, recognized for a high-level sports career that places the club of the Maresme among the great quarries of the international sailing.
Also distinguished were other athletes trained to the club who have achieved outstanding results this season, such as Juan Lleonart, world champion by teams of the Optimist class with Spain; Bruno García, bronze medal to the mixed World Cup of the class 420, Silvia Ravetllat, world subchampion in the category ILCA Grand Master female or José María van der Ploeg, European champion ILCA Great Master and British champion Great Master.
The gala also recognized other leading regatists of the club, including Bruno García, a bronze medal for the 420 class mixed world championship, as well as several teams and athletes who have shone in state and international competitions.
The Nit de l'Esport also served to value the potential of the sports base of Club Nàutic El Balís, considered one of the most solid of the sea sports in Catalonia. The club has a large fleet of young regatists who regularly compete in autonomous, state and international circuits, consolidating El Balís as one of the main sailing schools on the Catalan coast.
