Saint Lucia of Tirajana honors the athletes of the Club Deportivo Canakite Experiences: the kitesurfers Lorenzo and Leonardo Casati, the windsurfers Alexia and Carlos Kiefer and the subchampion of the world of wingfire, Mar de Arce.

This week, the City Council of Saint Lucia of Tirajana recognized five athletes from the municipality linked to the Canakite Experiences Sports Club for their outstanding international successes in the disciplines of kitesurf, winfoil and windsurfing.

The institutional event was chaired by the mayor, Francisco José García López, and the councillor of Physical Activity, Sports and Youth, Julio Jesús Ojeda Medina, who stressed the importance of sport as an international projection element for the municipality (Photo Mar de Arce... The honorary athletes were the brothers Lorenzo and Leonardo Casati, world-world reference of the kitesurf in the Big Air mode; the windsurfers and also brothers Alexia and Carlos Kiefer, who were prominent in the discipline of waves; and the rirer Mar de Arce, the underchampion of the world of wingfire in Surf-Freestyle.
