The Optimist Spanish Championship began with the three routes planned in the Vizcaina waters of the Abra with wind from the north-north-west of 15 knots, until 18, and much wave. The 155 participants from 11 communities that take part in this event, divided into the yellow and blue groups, had to adapt to demanding conditions in the field of races of the outside Abra. Following the tests scheduled by the Committee, in Optimist Sub- 16 male, the first five are Stijn Oosterhaven, from Club Néutic S'Arenal (8 points), Jorge Benítez, from Real Club Néutic Port de Pollença (10 points), Nicolás Bastard, from Real Club Marítimo del Abra (10 points), Lucas Garrido, from Club Néutic Areyns de Mar (11 points), and Izan Rogel, from Real Club Néutico de Torrevieja (14 points). In the female category Sub-16, the initial top five is that of Valentina Belso, of the Royal Nautical Club of Torrevieja, María de Lluc, Emma Frau and Mary-Anne Osha Pérez, of the Real Nautical Club of Palma, and Clara Camps of the Nautic Club El Balís.

Already in Sub13, the first five are Hugo Sarmiento, Club de Mar Almería, Ángel Manuel Hernández, de Real Club Nautico de Torrevieja, Conor Woods, del Club Náutico Jávea, Martín Barrionuevo, del Club Náutico Los Nietos, y Damia Galcera, del Real Club Náutico de Barcelona.
And among the girls Sub-13 are placed in the head of the Lola Carrión classification, the Real Nautical Club Arrecife, Alexia Sotomayor, the Nüutic Vilassar Club de Mar, Aina Sánchez and Neus Sánchez, the Nüutic Club S'Arenal and Martina Palmero of the Nüutic Club S'Estanyol.
